Ogilvy Public Relations

Client: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, a global PR corporation
Industry: public relations, marketing, corporate, business, non-profit
Job: website copywriting and editing

Internal work:

Ogilvy PR contracted with me to write, edit and coordinate delivery of website copy for the www.ogilvypr.com website relaunch. Copy I wrote and edited included corporate case studies, teasers for the company’s portfolio carousel, headlines, “Big Questions” (FAQ item teasers appearing at the bottom of the home page), site search summaries, and Q & As with executives from various practices within the company.

Ogilvy PR Client work:

As a contractor, I wrote over 50 pages of website feature articles, landing pages and captions for SpecialOlympics.org. Special Olympics worldwide was relaunching their main website as part of a multi-year fundraising campaign called Be a Fan. They were in need of compelling athlete and family stories that would highlight the excitement of their athletic programs; feature the important community, outreach and public health work they were doing around the globe; and demonstrate the organization’s relevance as a source for social change.

I researched and selected stories from past membership magazines; then rewrote them to suit the campaign’s fundraising goals. For each, I created short teaser text to draw readers in. I also compiled inspirational quotes for the sidebars, and created short call-outs to encourage site visitors to get involved or to donate.
